Presteigne Reserves will start the New Year with an away trip to Hay St Marys Reserves on Saturday, 7 January.
It has been a bit ‘stop-start’ for the Reserves so far this season so they will be hoping for more regular games between now and the end of the campaign.
Having said that, the weather might yet be a factor as – for the benefit of those not living in the area – there has been heavy and persistent rain throughout the night.
However, as things stand, the Mid Wales League (South) fixture is still very much on and here’s hoping Roy Simcock’s side can hit the ground running in this one.
This is technically a game between the league’s bottom two sides, although Hay Reserves have won two and drawn one of their opening five matches of the season.
They stand six points better off in the table than Presteigne Reserves, but here’s hoping our boys can halve the deficit by late Saturday afternoon.
