Committee meeting tonight

Presteigne St Andrews committee members are reminded there is a meeting scheduled for this evening at the Farmers Inn when things are due to get underway at 7.30pm.

Among the items likely to figure on the agenda will be an update on a venue  for the annual dinner and awards night that is due to be held on Saturday 5 June.

All committee members are urged to attend if at all possible as there are a number of other issues to be discussed.

In Monday night’s Spar Mid Wales League game, Aberystwyth University bounced back from their surprise 2-1 home defeat by Dolgellau at the weekend with a 4-1 win at struggling Caersws Reserves.

This win takes the students to within two points of Presteigne in the league table with both sides having now played 20 matches.

Meanwhile, in Sunday’s Mid Wales League (South) games, Llandrindod Wells Colts drew 1-1 in their game at Penybont Athletic, while Sennybridge proved too strong for visiting St Harmon, beating them 6-1.

Llandrindod Wells Colts are now three points clear of CP Llanandras while they also have a game in hand.
