Presteigne debutant striker Nick Evans netted a quick-fire second half brace as Tim Broome’s side came from a goal down to beat visiting Carno 2-1 at Llanandras Park.
A full match report is on the First Team page of the site, but this was another illustration of how competitive the Spar Mid Wales League is likely to be this season as Carno fully played their part in a game that was played at a decent pace throughout.
A good crowd turned out for the game and the three points should set up Tim’s side for the return to cup action at the weekend when they will host Bonymaen Colts in the first round of the FAW Trophy (kick off 2.30pm).
