After the exit from the Welsh Cup at Pontardawe Town last weekend, Presteigne St Andrews will turn their attention to the FAW Trophy on Saturday 19 September when they will entertain Bonymaen Colts at Llanandras Park (kick off 2.30pm).
Since the game at Pontardawe, the first team have, of course, returned to winning ways by beating Carno 2-1 in the week, so they will be in good heart for the visit of Bonymaen.
Manager Tim Broome reports that he should be able to call on Glen Tolley again, who missed the Carno match due to work commitments. For a more detailed preview, check out the First Team page.
Presteigne Reserves return to action after an eight-day break when they will head to Builth Wednesdays for a Mid Wales League (South) match. Barry Williams was due to finalise his squad after Thursday night’s training session as it depended on just who might be called into Tim Broome’s squad for the Welsh Trophy tie.
As with the first team, CP Llanandras are in cup action this weekend when they will entertain Builth Wells in the preliminary round of the Mid Wales League (South) Cup. Chris and Mark Ammonds are among those due to return to the squad for that one which is due to kick off on the John Beddoes School field at 2.30pm.
More detailed previews of each side’s prospects will appear on the respective team pages across the day as soon as the relevant information is available.
