The first team are through to the second round of the FAW Trophy after they came from a goal down to record a 2-1 home win over Bonymaen Colts at Llanandras Park.

Nick Evans netted his third goal in two appearances for Presteigne while Joel Layton was also on target as he scored the winner in stoppage time.

In the Mid Wales League (South) the Reserves came away from Builth Wednesdays with an impressive 5-0 victory.   Nigel Duggan struck twice, with the other goals coming from Tom Watkins, Ioan Hughes and Callum Matthews.

It wasn’t to such a good day for CP Llanandras in the Mid Wales League (South) Cup as they went down 5-0 in their preliminary round tie at home to Builth Wells.

There will be more details on the site as soon as they come to hand, but a reminder that Trevor Gummer’s Under 18s will play their first home league match of the season on Monday 21 September when they will take on the defending champions Pegasus Juniors at Llanandras Park.

The kick off in that game will be at 7.30pm.
