While Presteigne St Andrews were busy winning the Radnorshire Cup Final against Talgarth Town, there were five matches scheduled for the Spar Mid Wales League.

Penparcau battled out a 0-0 draw at home to local rivals Aberystwyth Reserves but this was enough to take them back to the top of the league as Carno slipped to a surprise 2-1 defeat at Dyffryn Banw.   ‘Arky are top on goal difference although Carno do have a game in hand.

There was no shortage of goals at Llanrhaeadr where Llansantffraid Village were the visitors and the two sides battled out a 4-4 draw.   Llanrhaeadr are sixth in the table – five points off the pace with two games in hand – while Llansantffraid are eighth, three points above Presteigne who are ninth.

Bow Street leapfrogged Tywyn Bryncrug into seventh place in the table after they came away from Tywyn with a 3-1 victory.

The  basement battle between Dolgellau and Llanfyllin Town was postponed.

On Wednesday night, bottom side Caersws Reserves will host Hay St Marys, while Rhayader Town will go level on points with Penparcau and Carno at the top if they beat visiting Newbridge.

There is no shortage of Tuesday night action in the Mid Wales League (South), where leaders Rhosgoch Rangers will head to CP Llanandras.   Llandrindod Wells will look to keep up the pressure on the leaders with a win at Builth Wednesdays.

Builth Wells will be hoping to take advantage of any slip up by Rhosgoch at the John Beddoes School field by winning at Newbridge Reserves.

Elsewere, Penybont United will host Rhayader Town Reserves at the Racecourse, while Sennybridge will head to Talgarth Rovers.
