Match previews for weekend games

All three sides are in action over the weekend of Friday 9 and Saturday 10 April, with the first team leading the way with a Friday night game at Newtown Reserves in the Spar Mid Wales League (kick off 7.30pm).

Tim Broome expects to select from largely the same squad that figured in the Radnorshire Cup Final win over Talgarth Town on Monday 5 April, but he will be able to add in a number of key players who missed that game.

Among these are Gareth Mansell, who was ineligible for the game, Jack Keating and Glenn Tolley – a detailed preview of the game is on the first team page of the site.

The Reserves face a busy weekend with two home games in as many days – firstly there is the small matter of a league game against Builth Wednesdays on Saturday 10 April, while they will then be in Sparey Cup semi-final action on Sunday when they will take on either Leominster Town Reserves or Shobdon who were due to meet in their quarter-final tie on Thursday evening.

CP Llanandras will feel Saturday’s visit of the bottom side St Harmon to the John Beddoes School field represents a good chance for them to add to their tally in the ‘w’ column in the league table, but they will be acutely aware St Harmon will be viewing this game in a similar way.

There are previews of these matches on the team’s respective pages on the site and it is hoped to have reports up at some stage across the weekend or early next week, just as soon as the necessary information comes to hand.
