After another busy midweek of matches, the reports on both the first-team’s home Spar Mid Wales League win over Dyffryn Banw and the Reserves away success at Newcastle in the Penybont Cup are now up on those teams’ pages on the site.
In addition to this, there is a preview of the first team game at home to Llansantffraid Village on Friday 23 April when the kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 7.30pm.
The preview of CP Llanandras’ Mid Wales League (South) trip to Sennybridge on Sunday 25 April will be up on the site at some stage on Friday.
In other news, Presteigne Reserves’ success in winning through to the semi-finals of the Penybont Cup has seen them paired with Builth Wednesdays in the last four in a game that will be played at Penybont.
Penybont have suggested Tuesday 18 May as a possible date, but rumour has it that Barry’s Reserves side will be playing Rhosgoch Rangers in a league match that night – the game that has been postponed this weekend so as to allow Reserve-team players to attend Steven Jackson’s funeral.
Barry Williams and cup secretary Trevor Owens are in touch with Penybont to try and sort out an alternative date but one thing is for sure – the Reserves had better make the most of their rare weekend off this time around as they are going to face a hectic schedule over the closing weeks of the season.
Finally, best of luck to those who are taking part in Tom Ammonds’ golf day at the Herefordshire Golf Club tomorrow – the weather is set fair and there is no shortage of interest in the event which will take place at Wormsley.
