Despite the defeat – CP Llanandras’s first league defeat in four outings – manager Andy Crowe was pleased by his side’s performance but acknowledged they are going to have to step it up another level at the weekend when they head to Talgarth Town.
Before that, Presteigne Reserves will be off to Talgarth on Thursday 6 May – in their case for a league match against Talgarth Rovers.

There was one match played in the Mid Wales League (South) this evening (Wednesday 5 May) in which Llandrindod Wells Colts were beaten 4-1 at home by Hay St Marys Reserves.
In other news, the match officials for the Presteigne Otway Cup final on Sunday are now confirmed as follows: Rob Evans (referee) and Nigel Stocker and Mark Ammonds (assistants). A reminder the game between Presteigne St Andrews and Newbridge is due to kick off at 2.30pm.
The officials for the Alfred Sparey Cup final on Sunday 16 May will be: Andrew Mills (referee) with Dave Bywater and Tom Edwards as his assistants. That game will also kick off at 2.30pm.
