A reminder that Presteigne St Andrews FC will be holding its annual dinner and awards evening on Saturday 5 June at the Burton Hotel in Kington.
The tickets will cost £25.00 and are available now from Dot Griffiths – but please come furnished with your 25 quid as – and I am sure Dot will back me up on this – she does not want to be spending half the night of the dinner chasing round those who ‘promised they would pay before the evening’…(!)
If you want to book your place at the dinner and think you might not run into Dot in the immediate future, then please feel free to email the site and I will gladly pass on your details.
You are reminded that the ticket price does not include transport to and from the event, so you will need to sort that out yourselves.
The committee hopes that as many players and friends of the club as possible will be there to celebrate what has been another good season.
In order to head off the usual: ‘£25.00 is a bit dear..’ comments – bear in mind it was £22.50 last year when it was held at the clubhouse and most people said they wanted a different venue this year and, as soon as you go to outside venues it is inevitably more expensive.
Also – even with the price set at £25.00 – the club is extremely unlikely to make any money from the dinner but rather is only looking to break even.
