A much-changed first team squad put up a battling showing before going down to a 1-0 defeat in their Wednesday night Spar Mid Wales League game at Bow Street.
Early reports suggest that on another day/evening, Presteigne could easily have taken something from the game and manager Tim Broome was encouraged by the showing as it showed the depth in the squad.
Given the 7.00pm kick off, a number of key players were unavailable for the match due to work and university commitments and so a host of fringe players were called up for what was a difficult-looking trip to a side that is third in the table.
But Tim reportedly felt those who had come in gave a really good account of themselves and certainly didn’t let the club down in any way.
It is hoped to have a detailed match report up on the site later in the day as soon as the necessary information comes to hand.
Meanwhile, the Reserves will head to Llandrindod Wells this evening for a Mid Wales League (South) match that is vital to the home side’s chances of winning the league.
There is a full preview of the match up on the Reserves page of the site and I am making the usual plea that if you are going to the game this evening, then please take a digital camera with you and take a few snaps, remembering to then email one or two in for use in the match report.
Kick off at The Broadway this evening will be at 7.30pm.
