It is being reported in the County Times that another member of last season’s first-team squad is heading to fresh fields as Gareth Mansell has opted for a switch to Llanidloes Town.
The 22-year old arrived at Llanandras Park for the second half of last season after spells with both Newtown and Caersws.
Given the travelling distances involved it probably makes sense for Mansell to play for a club closer to home and it will be at the same level as Llanidloes will play in the Spar Mid Wales League first division this season.
Barry Williams and Phil Parker are still looking to bolster their squad for the coming season as they acknowledge that, while the bulk of last season’s reserve-team side is relishing the chance to step up, they may well need one or two additions to ensure the side is competitive.
