Presteigne St Andrews will continue their build up to the new Spar Mid Wales League season with an away trip to Llandrindod Wells on Saturday 31 July (kick off 2.30pm).
The Spa men are sure to provide a stiff test for Barry Williams’ side as they are preparing for their first season back at Spar League level after being promoted from the Mid Wales League (South) last season.
“We have Max Powell and Joel Layton coming for tomorrow’s game but Luke Boundford won’t be with us as he is involved in a go-karting event for a birthday,” said Barry.
“Luke will be available for the Ewyas Harold game on Wednesday night while we have a number of players missing due to holidays and cricket commitments.
“In addition to this, Trevor Gummer is playing bowls so these are just a few examples of the many problems we face with starting too early in the summer.
“But should have two keepers to have a look at although I can’t mention any names yet.
“There is no doubt we will be under strength as we think we will have around eight players missing all of whom we feel would be pushing for places in the team.”
