First team bow out of Ludlow Hospital Cup

Presteigne St Andrews FCPresteigne St Andrews FC bowed out of the Ludlow Hospital Cup at the first round stage when thewy were beaten 2-0 by Clee Hill in their tie at Ludlow on Tuesday 10 August.

Barry fielded what was very much a mixed side for the game as a number of players were unavailable but, despite this he felt that – with a little more composure in front of goal – this was a tie they could easily have won.

“We created eight or ten really good chances but we just couldn’t finish them off,” he said.

“It was disappointing but we will just have to move on to Thursday night against Rhosgoch when we should be able to field a stronger side.

“I should have five or six players back in the squad for that one,” he added.

The kick off against Rhosgoch Rangers on Thursday 12 August will be at 7.30pm
