Presteigne Reserves will return to action this evening (Thursday 19 August) when they will entertain Mid Wales League (South) newcomers Knighton Victoria at Llanandras Park.

The Reserves were left smarting after a 7-0 opening-day defeat at Talgarth Town Reserves and arranged an additional training session on Tuesday night in an effort to get that result out of their system.

Manager Andy Crowe is not sure as to the make up of his squad as he was still to make checks as a number of players were likely to be involved in the first-team trip to  Builth Wells on Wednesday evening.

“Providing work doesn’t get in the way I am expecting Adie Bennett to start again,” he said.

“But with Barry’s game on Wednesday things are a little bit up in the air until we know all of those of our players who might have been involved in that one came through unscathed,” he added.

Knighton Victoria opened their Mid Wales League (South) programme with a 3-3 draw at home to Newbridge Reserves so will arrive at Llanandras Park in good spirits.

The kick off will be at 7.30pm and admission to the game will be £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for senior citizens and children under the age of 16.

It is hoped to have a match report up on the site at some stage later tonight, with a more detailed version appearing at some stage on Friday 20 August.
