Presteigne St Andrews Under 18s will play their first warm up match of the season on Wednesday 25 August when they will take on Malvern Rangers at Llanandras Park in a 7.45pm kick off.
It was agreed at the committee meeting that the admission for this game will be in the form of a collection with the recommended donation of £1.00, so don’t be surprised when Tony Wood is moving among you tomorrow evening.
Meanwhile, the news over Bronllys FC is far more encouraging – the Mid Wales League (South) secretary Paul Worts has advised us that Presteigne Reserves will now entertain Bronllys at Llanandras Park on Thursday 2 September in a 7.30pm kick off.
The Reserves were originally due to play Bronllys this Saturday (28 August) but that game was postponed at the Breconshire club’s request.
As the Reserves were facing the prospect of almost three weeks without a game, manager Andy Crowe had arranged a friendly match against Kington Town for Tuesday 31 August.
But this has now been cancelled due to the fact the Bronllys match has now been scheduled for 48 hours later.
There will now be two home matches in as many days at Llanandras Park – the first team will host Newbridge on Wednesday 1 September in the Spar Mid Wales League, with the Reserves’ game against Bronllys the following evening.
