Both of Presteigne St Andrews’ senior sides will again be in action this weekend as the football season starts to gather momentum.

The first team is in the midst of a run of September home games and they will take on a strong-looking Berriew side at Llanandras Park (kick off 2.30pm).

Manager Barry Williams has injury problems that are certainly going to play a part in his selection plans for the game while a couple of other players are unavailable.

There is a preview of the match up on the first team page of the site – if you want to take a more detailed look at the prospects then simply click on the ‘First Team’ tab at the top of this page and all the information will be there .

Andy Crowe’s Reserves side heads to Penybont Athletic for their latest game and they should not be lacking in confidence after a run of three straight league victories in Mid Wales League (South).

There will be a preview of this game as soon as I glean the information from ‘Crowie’, but it appears as though Adam Strangwood has received his international clearance and will be available to play.

Match reports will appear on the teams’ respective pages across the weekend and on Monday.
