There are three matches in the Spar Mid Wales League first division this weekend in which – as far as we are concerned – Presteigne St Andrews will take centre stage in their game against Berriew.
But away from Llanandras Park, there are two other decent matches in prospect with Builth Wells making the trip to Llansantffraid Village and Dyffryn Banw due to entertain Newbridge.
Llansantffraid Village and Builth Wells both have six points from four matches and a win for either could have them in the top three by the end of the weekend.
As with Presteigne, Dyffryn Banw are yet to register a point this season and so will be looking to open their account against ‘bridge.
In the second division, league leaders Kerry will put their 100 percent record on the line when they head to Four Crosses while second-placed Abermule head to mid-table Tregaron Turfs.
Third-placed Rhosgoch Rangers are without a game so Talgarth Town – who are fourth – will fancy their chances of overhauling Rhos when they will entertain bottom side Llanfair United.
The day’s other matches include Llandrindod Wells hosting Aberaeron while Llanfyllin Town will entertain Meifod and Bont will make the trip to Montgomery Town.
In the Spar Mid Wales League, Presteigne Reserves will look to close the gap on the leading clubs when they will head to Penybont but the top team – Rhayader Town Reserves – will fancy their chances of making it seven wins from seven when they will host Bronllys.
Second-placed Newbridge Reserves head to Sennybridge while Knighton Town will fancy their chances of making progress at the expense of St Harmon when they will make the trip to the Swifts.
Or do they? Because the BBC Wales also has Knighton Town due to travel to Newcastle in a 4.00pm kick off so you pay your money and take your choice.
Knighton Victoria will welcome Talgarth Town Reserves to Bryn-y-Castell while Builth Wells Reserves will host Llandrindod Wells Reserves.
The day’s other game will see Hay St Marys make the trip to Radnor Valley.
