Llanrhaeadr are the outright leaders of the Spar League first division after they beat the defending champions Penparcau 4-1 at home to move three points clear of Berriew who were without a game.
Bow Street are up to third place as a result of their 4-1 victory over visiting Carno while Builth Wells are fourth – they drew 2-2 at home to Waterloo Rovers.
In the day’s other fixture, Dolgellau were the big winners of the day after they came away from Dyffryn Banw with a 5-o victory. Banw remain three points above Presteigne St Andrews at the foot of the table.
It might only be the middle of September, but Kerry have made their intentions very clear in the second division – their 1-0 win at Talgarth Town has taken them seven points clear at the top of the table.
Rhosgoch Rangers are second – their 1-0 victory at Four Crosses puts them in a decent position and, while they might be seven points behind Kerry, they do have three games in hand over the leaders.
Abermule lost ground as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Llanfyllin Town who are now up to third spot, while Llanfair United were 2-0 home winners over Tregaron Turfs.
In the Mid Wales League (South) Rhayader Town Reserves still have their 100 percent record after they saw off visiting Talgarth Town Reserves 2-0 at the Weirglodd while Bronllys picked up a point when they battled out a 0-0 draw at home to Penybont.
Builth Wells Reserves had a good day at Radnor Valley where they recorded a 7-1 victory, while Knighton Town were 5-0 winners at St Harmon. The big victory – and, by definition, the big defeat – of the day came at Bryn-y-Castell where Knighton Victoria beat Sennybridge 11-0.
