Llanrhaeadr remain two points clear at the top of the Spar Mid Wales League first division after they drew their top-of-the-table clash 2-2 with visiting Berriew.
Bow Street saw off the challenge of Builth Wells in Ceredigion with a 1-0 victory and so they are out on their own in third place, three points clear of Llanidloes Town in fourth – the Daffs didn’t have a game this weekend.
Tywyn Bryncrug shaded the mid-table battle as they beat visiting Llansantffraid Village 3-2 while Dolgellau’s win at Llanandras Park took them up to seventh.
In the day’s other games, Newbridge picked up their third win of the season when they beat visitors Waterloo Rovers 3-2 while Carno picked up a decent point in a 1-1 draw at Penparcau.
Kerry are now eight points clear at the top of the second division table as they won 3-2 at home to Montgomery Town while Abermule are now second – they were also 3-2 winners in their home game against Talgarth Town.
Rhosgoch Rangers slipped up as they went down 1-0 at home to Aberaeron for whom the win was their first of the season, while Tregaron Turfs ended Llanfyllin Town’s recent good run of form by beating them 3-2.
There were wins for Four Crosses – 3-1 at Llanfair United, and Llandrindod Wells who added to Meifod’s problems by winning 4-0 at the bottom side.
In the Mid Wales League (South), the leaders Rhayader Town Reserves maintained their excellent start to the season but they were clearly pushed hard by visiting Knighton Town who eventually went down 2-1 at the Weirglodd.
Newcastle – who were second at the start of play – were held to a 0-0 draw at Talgarth Town Reserves, while Andy Crowe’s Reserves are chasing down the leading clubs following their 4-1 victory at Sennybridge.
Hay St Marys were the winners of a remarkable game against St Harmon – they were comfortable 9-0 winners, but all nine goals came in the first half.
Builth Wells Reserves were the big winners of the day – they came away from Gwernyfed School with an 11-1 victory over Bronllys. Meanwhile, in the derby game at the Broadway, Llandrindod Wells Reserves ran out 2-1 winners over visiting Newbridge Reserves.
