Presteigne St Andrews went down to an 8-0 defeat in their Spar Mid Wales League first division match at league leaders Llanrhaeadr.
Manager Barry Wiliams was without a number of key first-team regulars for what was always going to be a tough game.
Their cause was hardly helped on eight minutes when Bobby Bird received a straight red card for a hand ball on the goal line as a Llanrhaeadr shot was destined for the back of the net.
The home side scored from the penalty and went on to net four more times before half-time.
In the second half, Presteigne lifted their game and kept trying to play football, but the home side made the most of their familiar small pitch and the extra man to score three more goals to close out a convincing 8-0 victory.
There is a full match report on the first team page of the site – thanks to Barry Williams for sending me the information so promptly.
