First-team manager Tim Broome is again planning to freshen up his squad this week with the arrival of a couple of players and another one being given the chance to prove himself.
Joel Leversedge has joined the club after a spell at Westfields and is expected to figure in the FAW Trophy tie against Hay St Marys on Saturday 17 October.
Also joining Presteigne St Andrews is former Shrewsbury Town trainee Marcus Sharrad who may well also figure on Saturday. He hails from Ludlow and began his career at Shrewsbury Town before switching to Cheltenham Town, for whom he made a couple of reserve-team appearances before he was released.
He then switched to the Welsh Premier League when he joined Newtown in February 2007 before joining Caersws that summer. He then returned to Newtown in the summer of 2008 by way of a spell with Shropshire club Shawbury United.
Meanwhile, Bobby Bird has been strongly linked with a move to fellow Spar Mid Wales League side Newbridge, but has not yet left the club. He is to be given a chance to prove what he can do at first-team level before deciding on his next move.
