Presteigne St Andrews FC’s teams should both be able to return to competitive action this afternoon while there is also a reminder of an invitation to spend your evening at the gee-gees.
Club chairman Alan Randell took an early-morning look at the Llanandras Park pitch – and, yes, he actually went down there rather than just peering through the back-bedroom window at ‘Randell Towers’.
“To be honest, it is pretty wet in places down there but it is certainly not bad enough to call off the game,” he said as he studied the menu at Elda’s cafe.
“I have spoken to Llanrhaeadr and have told them the situation and they agree that if there is any chance of playing it then we have to take it.
“We agreed that it is playable now and it should be ok unless there is a heavy downpour between now and kick off time,” he added.
As far as we are aware the Reserves’ game at Radnor Valley is also ‘all systems go’ as we haven’t heard anything to the contrary, so here’s hoping the rain stays away until after the final whistles.
A reminder that it is Race Night at Llanandras Park this evening when the first race is due off at 6.00pm (that could be 6.00pm Radnorshire Standard Time, but it will certainly be around then).
Please support this event if you possibly can – there is a buffet and a reminder that it is very much ‘family orientated’ so ankle-biters are very welcome.
