January proved to be a record month in terms of the number of visits to the Presteigne St Andrews FC website with 4,600 visitors checking us out during the month – an average of 148 per day.
This beats the previous record of 4,558 visits that we received during April of last year while those who did visit also looked at more pages – this, too, was the highest it has been since April.
While it is not exactly a shock that a fraction over 80 percent of all the visits were from the United Kingdom, it is more surprising that around 11.5 percent were from the United States, while we also did well in the Netherlands and – perhaps slightly more unusually – the Russian Federation.
The fact that we did so well in January was a bit surprising, to be honest – after all, most of the fixtures were called off due to the weather so you might have thought that there would have been less demand for a football club website when there wasn’t a great deal of football.
But wherever are you logging in, many thanks for your continued support and long may it continue – hopefully the worst of the weather is now behind us for this winter so we should be able to actually get some games in.
