On a busy day at web central, the match reports from the weekend are now up on the team’s respective pages of the site, while you can also read all about the highly successful race night of last week.
The first team had a mad 20 minutes in their game at Llanidloes Town and this once again served to illustrate that you can’t get away with that kind of thing at this level as the opposition is more than good enough to punish you.
All the details from this game, and the thoughts of manager Barry Williams can be found by clicking on the ‘First Team’ tab at the top of the page.
Similarly, the Reserve-team match report is also up on their page of the site after they went down 3-1 at home to Newcastle in their Mid Wales League (South) fixture.
The general concensus from those I have spoken to who were at the game is that the result was a bit harsh on ‘Crowie’s’ side who more than played their part in what had been a highly entertaining match.
Meanwhile – somewhat after the event and apologies for that – there is now a report up online about the Race Night that was held at the Football Club on Saturday 5 February.
Our thanks to committee member Dougie Preece for all his hard work in organising the event and also to Paula Randell for all her efforts in typing out the race card after Dougie’s computer gave up the ghost at the vital moment.
It is thought that the Football Club and Presteigne Little People’s Playgroup will each benefit to the tune of £520.00. A full report can be found on the Social Events page of the site.
Finally, the Otway and Sparey Cups page has also been updated as cup secretary Tom Edwards has been busy chasing up clubs for their results in the respective competitions.
Well done to Tom – what a year to take on being cup secretary when we have had the worst winter in ages and clubs throughout the area have a major backlog of fixtures – it will get easier (allegedly)!
