Presteigne St Andrews v UWA

presteigne_on_attack_v_bow_streetPresteigne St Andrews will return to Spar Mid Wales League action on Monday 19 October when they will take on Aberystwyth University at Llanandras Park.

Manager Tim Broome is expected to go in to the match with largely the same squad that figured in the FAW Trophy tie against Hay St Marys, although Luke Hicks could be available again after missing the Hay game due to suspension.

The strength of the College squad is always difficult to estimate as it largely depends on the intake of students in any given year, but the only accurate barometer of their form is that after five league matches they are still looking for their first victory of the season.

Their only point so far came in a 2-2 draw at home to Llanfyllin Town, and this was the only game in which they have found the back of  the net.

Their most recent outing saw them go down 1-0 at home to Rhayader Town on Saturday 17 October.

Thanks to George Lancett for pointing out that the kick off in this one will be at 7.45pm, presumably to allow the students more time for the trans-Wales trip!   Admission prices for the game will be £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for pensioners and £1.00 for children.
