Rhayader look to go top

free_kickRhayader Town will look to overhaul Aberystwyth Reserves at the top of the Spar Mid Wales League on Saturday 7 November when they head to Dolgellau.

A point would be enough for Dylan McPhee’s side to go top, but they will looking to take all three as they will then have played two matches more than Aber who don’t play until Monday 9 November when they will host UCW in a derby game.

It is promising to be a busy weekend for the students who will fancy their chances of breaking their duck when they will host Caersws Reserves on Saturday.

Of the other leading sides, Penparcau will be looking to close the gap on the top sides by winning at out of sorts Llanfyllin Town while Waterloo Rovers will be looking to bounce back from last Saturday’s defeat at Llanandras Park when they head to Hay St Marys.

Bow Street will fancy their chances at home to a Dyffryn Banw side that seems to blow hot and cold while there is a decent game in prospect at Llanrhaeadr where Tywyn Bryncrug will be the visitors and Newbridge face a tough-looking trip to Carno.

There is no doubting the game of the day in the Mid Wales League (South).  With the majority of clubs either involved in Emrys Morgan Cup ties or without a game, Llandrindod Wells at home to Talgarth Town is the one that catches the eye.

This is first hosting fourth, and were Talgarth to take anything from the match then they would go above Presteigne Reserves into third place in the table.

Elsewhere in the Mid Wales League (South), CP Llanandras head to Radnor Valley looking for their first win of the season, while Hay St Marys Reserves head to Sennybridge.
