Presteigne Reserves held of a spirited second-half comeback from Knighton Town to come away from Bryn-y-Castell with a 3-2 victory in the second round of the Emrys Morgan Cup.
Presteigne looked to be in control at the interval as goals from Alan Stocker and Callum Matthews had them 2-0 to the good.
Steve Kay then added a third after the break and it looked as though it was ‘game over’, but Knighton rallied to score two of their own and put Presteigne under pressure.
CP Llanandras were in league action at Radnor Valley and it was to be a second-successive 4-1 defeat for Andy Crowe’s side.
It is hoped to have a detailed match report on both games on Sunday 8 November, while if anyone was at the club’s bonfire nights and has some half-decent photos that they wouldn’t mind us using on the site, then please email those in as well!
