Presteigne Reserves’ reward for their Emrys Morgan Cup win at Knighton Town on Saturday 7 November will be a trip to Corris United in round three.
Corris have already had dealings with one Presteigne side in this season’s competition as they ousted CP Llanandras 8-2 in their first-round meeting on the John Beddoes School field.
While Barry’s Reserves were busy beating Knighton on Saturday, Corris headed to SDUC Lampeter and came away with a 4-1 success.
Corris United are currently top of the Cambrian Tyres League second division with six wins and two defeats from their eight games so far. They are two points clear of second-placed Talybont with two games in hand.
The third-round tie at Corris United is scheduled for Saturday 5 December.
Other news – many thanks to all of those who helped make the bonfire and firework night such a success. Reports suggest there was a healthy turn out for the event so hopefully this will be reflected in the balance sheet as it is not a cheap event to stage.
Thanks also to all of those who turned out on the Sunday morning to help with the clear up operation – given that a number of committee members were involved in the Remembrance Day service to still have eight or nine people there was appreciated.
The Under 18s will be at home on Monday 9 November when they will take on Llandrindod Wells in the HFA Floodlit Youth League. The kick off will be at 7.30pm and all support would be welcome.
